Great question and I think it is one that comes to people’s minds quite often. Short answer is yes, rejecting Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for your salvation. 

I would add this as well, God is not in the business of keeping people out of Heaven. We do a good enough job of that on our own!  Awhile ago Erik did a great job of touching on this the question a little when he addressed the question, “Once saved always saved”.
